RE: Laredo Tennis Association Scholarships (Application-Criteria, and Deadlines)


Enclosed you will find the Scholarship Application for the senior tennis players who will be graduating this school year. Along with the application, the following information is being provided so that we are clear as to the plans for distribution of scholarships.


  • All senior applicants must have participated in their school tennis team during their completed senior tennis season and must have 15-20 volunteer service hours for Laredo Tennis Association tennis activities. These volunteer hours must be certified by the Laredo Tennis Association.

  • Scholarship award amount will be decided by the Laredo Tennis Association Scholarship Committee after all applicants are turned in.

  • Applicants must submit a letter of admittance to either a community college or a university.

  • A letter of recommendation for each individual applicant from their perspective tennis coach is required from all applicants as well as from a teacher.

  • Applicant must have a Financial Statement of Need (FAFSA) Report.

  • Applicant must have a W-2 for 2018( No social security numbers)

  • All applicants must be submitted by Monday March 18, 2019.

  • Applicants must be turned in by School's Senior Scholarship Counselors to Mr. Escamilla at 709 E. Calton Rd. Ste 109 before or on deadline date.

  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

  • Essay on any of the three topics in application must be typed.
